For owner Mairi Patridge, baking has always been about connection. In her blended family, the kitchen was more than a place to cook—it was where stories were shared, traditions were honored, and every person had a seat and a voice. Food became the universal language that brought everyone together. No matter how different their backgrounds or tastes were, there was always a way to create something that made each person feel seen and celebrated.
That spirit of inclusion shaped Mairi as a baker. She grew passionate about creating recipes that honored who people are and what they love—treats that reflected personality, celebrated individuality, and made moments feel special. But over time, she witnessed something that didn’t sit right: friends, family, and customers with dietary restrictions were often left out. Their options were limited, their plates looked different, and their treats were viewed as “less than.”
Mairi believed no one should ever feel excluded from the joy of sharing food. She knew she could do better—not just by adapting recipes, but by elevating them.

The Blended Batch was born from that conviction: to craft gluten-free and dairy-free baked goods that are every bit as joyful, flavorful, and satisfying as the classics. Here, dietary restrictions aren’t an afterthought—they’re an invitation to innovate. Mairi blends technique, creativity, and care to make treats that everyone can enjoy, whether they follow a gluten-free lifestyle or simply love good food.
From celebration cakes and pies to muffins, breads, cupcakes, and pastries, everything is made in small batches with ingredients chosen for both quality and inclusivity. Every recipe is tested, refined, and reimagined until it meets one simple standard:

The meaning behind The Blended Batch is twofold. It reflects Mairi’s blended family—her greatest inspiration—and the blended communities she hopes to serve. It also represents the blend of people who gather around the table: those with allergies, those without, the cautious eaters, the adventurous ones, and everyone in between.
